My chocolate cakes are made from using solid 70% cocoa chocolate to give a rich, moist yet light cake, adored by children and adults alike! All of my chocolate cakes are made with fresh free range eggs and split with layers of pure butter cream whipped with double cream and cocoa.
My sponge cake is always made fresh to ensure a soft, moist and light texture. Made using fresh free range eggs, it is split and spread with a homemade vanilla butter cream, whipped from pure butter and icing sugar. No cake would be complete without a generous layer of quality homemade butter cream and jam!
I offer a choice of two types of fruit cake: a rich, moist dark fruitcake, made with dark sugar and treacle the more traditional style of fruitcake, and secondly, a lighter fruitcake, made with light brown sugar, golden syrup and a wider selection of fruits including figs, prunes, apricots, pineapple and cherries, laced with copious amounts of brandy, cherry brandy and Cointreau. All of my fruitcakes are made using all natural ingredients including real butter, fresh free range eggs and an abundance of quality dried fruits. As all of my cakes are made to order, if there is anything you don't like in a fruitcake, this can be left out or substituted with something more suitable. Fruitcakes mature with age, so early ordering is essential. We always finish our cakes with marzipan and rolled sugar icing.
